Seasonal Is Natural

Who We Are

We are a married couple raising two children in Ellington, Connecticut. Nathan works full-time in aviation. Juliana works full-time at home as a caregiver, and part-time in a professional setting.

What We Grow

We grow approximately 30 different varieties of single-season florals from seed. We also grow a handful of perennial shrubs and flowering bulbs/tubers. Some of our most noteworthy varieties include: Dahlias, Lavender, Celosia, Narcissi, Larkspur, Snapdragons, and Peonies.

How We Grow

Although we are not certified organic at this time, we use only organic field techniques and certified organic products. This approach relies on maintaining healthy soil that is teeming with microbes and nutrients. We are constantly improving the health and structure of our soil via organic methods.

The Seasonal Approach

Some retailers wish to offer any flower at any time of the year. This has a number of implications—primarily, importing flowers from overseas, or relying on dyes and preservatives. Rather than insist on growing any bloom at any time, we are content to let the seasons guide our schedule. This results in a better, more natural flower with longer vase life, and lower environmental impact.

Where To Get Our Flowers

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with LuAnn’s Drive Thru in order to offer a convenient pickup location for our flowers.

Please see our bouquet subscription page in our shop for more details.

Why We Don’t Deliver…Yet!

We are not able to ship our cut flowers or deliver to any location other than The Ivy. We expect this to change at some point, but with two children and busy work schedules, it is currently not feasible for us to spend time making deliveries.
